How to Convert Paper Photos into Digital Photos Fast!

Hey Parents!

If you have a lot of precious family paper photos that you printed in the 70’s, 80’s, or 90’s before you got your digital camera – you may be worried about losing your important family memories due to a tragic occurrence like a fire.

My advice is to convert the best photos that you have to digital by using a service like the one found at www.scandigital.com.   My problem was that I had roughly 1,000 shots that needed to be converted and I couldn’t find the time to do them one at a time.   Here is what you can do:

  1. Go to www.scandigital.com and check out their program.  They will scan your photos for you at a cost of roughly $300 per 1,000 photos.  They also will convert those old 8mm videos for you too!  I don’t work for this company or receive any compensation from them in any way.
  2. If you like the idea – you will gather up all of your best family shots and mail them to scandigital.  The instructions are on the website.  They will scan them and even load them onto an external hard drive that you send to them.  They will also upload the digital pictures to a website where your friends and family are free to download them forever!

A final bit of advice – use separate envelopes for separate batches of photos and use a date name convention like this:  99 05 Summer Camp Kids   This will automatically sort the digital files by year (1999)  and month  (05).

It is incredibly easy to do and it will give you peace of mind to know your family photos are going to be handed down for generations to come!
